Roll 45: Our final hike in Glacier was a 8 mile (maybe even 9 so like 16-18 total) out and back backpacking hike to Lincoln Lake. We didn’t know before getting our permit that this area had been burned very badly by a wildfire a few years ago so we spent most of the hike walking through a barren forest. However, the wildflower growth in the area was incredible, they were just everywhere. This hike definitely tested us a bit and even though it wasn’t the prettiest, it was still quite the experience. It was really only my second time ever backpacking and I can’t wait to go again.
