Recently released in Filmkrant #493 (September 2026) there was a small snippet of an interview in print that I did for Hollandse Nieuwe; a series that highlights creators of a film or series that will premiere at @nederlandsfilmfestival
Here is the full interview, translated into English from the @filmkrant website. I used Safari to auto translate, so it might be a bit janky - but hopefully it still resonates.
I would like to add that AWA could not have been made without the support of mány creators (filmmakers). While directors often receive the spotlight and are put front & centre, I remain in fierce gratitude to everyone who went along for this journey. Without them, AWA would not have had the pillars on which it could stand. Gratitude - always.
💜, Tarona
