One frustration I keep seeing across almost every project I work on is founders complaining about their team members.โฃ
โฃ
Iโve even been asked if the solution is a complete cleanup: fire everyone and have a โfresh start.โโฃ
โฃ
Itโs not always the solution.โฃ
โฃ
But this is the wrong formula I keep seeing:โฃ
โฃ
Hire talent + drop them on the gym floor + expect them to read your mind + have no time to give clear direction because youโre too busy solving problems =
disaster & even more problems.โฃ
โฃ
When your main job as a founder should be:โฃ
โฃ
1. Hire people who are better than you at the job.โฃ
2. Be clear on the expected outcome. Show them what high standards look like.โฃ
3. Build systems for leadership and accountability.โฃ
4. Get out of their way.โฃ
โฃ
The key is to invest enough time early so you can eventually detach from daily operations and trust your business to keep running without you.โฃ
