Only one team can wear yellow tonight! 🤣🟡

it’s been a year since I finished my cake quilt which, to this day, is still the longest most involved most technical piece of art I’ve ever made. I still feel so proud of it and have been referencing it a lot in my 50 quilts project I’m doing (even though these 50 play quilts are alotttt more simple lol). I almost didn’t share that this quilt got rejected from Quiltcon last year but I decided to be brave and advocate for this work that I poured my whole self into and it was such a surprise when my story went viral and tens of thousands of people told me they enjoyed this piece, but more than that, appreciated me being open about something that felt like a failure. That experience taught me so much about how I perceive my quilts and where I want them to exist and the intention I want to bring to them. Anyway, I’m making this post now because I just received a surprise request to send this quilt to Japan and have it displayed and shown there!!!!! I’m so excited!!!!! It reminded me for the hundredth (thousandth? Millionth??) time that there is no wasted experience and that the things we perceive as endings usually aren’t. Ok, that’s all I wanted to tell you about, I’m just so excited this quilt gets to go overseas and have a life somewhere. 🧵🪡💕🐌🐞🎂🍰🧁 #quiltconreject

My cells after carrot juice: UNLIMITED POWER! 😂🚀

Fresh-pressed, organic carrot and vegetable juice was a major part of my anti-cancer diet. I drank 40–64 oz every day!

And here’s something I’ve noticed over the years: Across the many long-term cancer survivors I’ve interviewed and talked with, carrot juice comes up again and again.

Why carrot juice?

Carrots are rich in carotenoids, like beta-carotene, along with vitamins, minerals, and other plant compounds that have attracted scientific interest for their potential health benefits.

But here’s a fascinating fact most people don’t know…

Carrots contain a compound called falcarinol. Researchers have studied this naturally occurring compound for its potential anticancer properties.

It’s one example of the many fascinating plant compounds scientists are studying for their interactions with cancer cells.

📖 Want to learn about more plant compounds being studied for their effects on cancer stem cells?

Comment COMPOUNDS and I’ll send you my FREE ebook featuring 12 plant compounds and the research behind them!
