UPDATE🚨: Seti, the brave dog who had been stranded on a patch of land surrounded by the Budhi Gandaki River in Jagat, Gorkha, for 14 days following recent floods, has been rescued safely.

Despite challenging conditions, a rescue team using kayaks successfully reached the area and brought Seti to safety.

The successful and heartwarming rescue in Gorkha has brought relief to everyone who had been following Seti’s story. ❤️🐕

Thank you to IG Gorkha, Animal Nepal, Pawdyssey Nepal, Royal Beach Camp, JCI Gorkha and everyone involved in the ongoing rescue efforts. 🙌🏼

“जय महाकाल! 🙏✨
There are some moments in life that leave you completely overwhelmed with gratitude, peace, and divine energy. Witnessing the sacred Bhasma Aarti at the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga in Ujjain today was truly one of the most soul-stirring and blissful experiences of my life.
To sit in the presence of Mahakal, to feel the chants resonate through every beat of your heart, and to share this spiritually elevating darshan along with my mother is a blessing beyond words. The devotion, the serene atmosphere, and the pure dedication of every devotee present there created an aura that is impossible to describe. A heartfelt thank you to the temple administration and authorities for orchestrating such smooth, respectful, and seamless arrangements for everyone coming from far and wide.
May Lord Shiva shower his boundless grace, strength, and blessings upon all of you. 🔱✨ Har Har Mahadev!”...

There’s a new baby in town! 🤍

We got to meet baby Sophie today! Sophie is a newborn calf who was just rescued by our friends at @farmanimalrefuge. I love her so, so much. Those teef!!!

Did you know that cows only produce milk when they have a baby? Cows lactate for the same reason humans (and cats and dogs and wombats) do: to feed their newborns. It’s something a lot of people never realize. Sadly, cows are forced to give birth and then have their babies taken away so that humans can drink the milk that was only created for the calf. It’s such a weird and sad practice and is why I do not consume any dairy. How can I rescue orphaned baby animals, and then support an industry with a primary purpose of creating more orphans? None for me, thanks!

Sophie isn’t a typical “dairy cow.”She is the kind of cow who would typically be used in a rodeo (do not get me started on that) and eventually killed to be eaten. But Sophie was born with a slight congenital issue with her limbs, which the cow breeder didn’t want to deal with, and that ended up being good luck for her. Now that she found her way into the loving arms of our friends, she is already healing and expected to thrive.

Here are a bunch of cute pics and videos of us meeting Sophie, plus some bonus shots (including Joshy Poshy, who you know if you have followed us for a long time.) So proud to be a supporter & friend of @farmanimalrefuge!

P.S. We will have kittens soon, I promise! I have been home for like 3 days and am still getting adjusted, but I’m sure we’ll have some new little faces around here any day now.
