JAY CUTLER’S ICONIC QUAD STOMP
THE POSE THAT WON HIM MR. OLYMPIA
The 2009 Olympia final callout put Cutler and Jackson center stage, favorites to take the show, with Cutler holding a 40-pound size advantage over Jackson. Then comes the abs and thigh pose — Jackson’s strongest category — and Cutler knows he needs something extraordinary. He reaches over and taps Jackson’s quad, drawing every eye in the building to it, then rattles his own quads to reveal insane striations before lifting his leg and stomping it down, tensing every muscle in his body.
It’s gone down as one of the most iconic poses in bodybuilding history — gyms around the world have murals dedicated to it. It also marked something no bodybuilder had ever done before: reclaiming the Mr. Olympia title after losing it.
