Last night @nationalwomenslawcenter broadcast the names of people who support student SA survivors onto the Cornell University building in Washington DC. Cornell is what happens when people like Trump make the rules. We all know the truth: Cornell isn’t unique. Students deserve to feel safe and protected. We support survivors and we want to tell Cornell and the Trump administration that students deserve better. Show your solidarity with student survivors of sexual assault—we need as many people as possible to show their support. The sign on is - NWLC.org/survivors (🔗 in b!o) #iamjanedoe #cornell7 #trump #fyp #feminist
What happened during our 2:00 service was such a powerful move of God. There was a moment where people began praying, worshiping, and encouraging one another. A word was spoken through the gift of tongues, and an interpretation brought a timely reminder straight from Scripture: “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Some of you have been carrying something that God never asked you to carry alone. You’re trying to fix it.
You’re trying to figure it out.
You’re trying to hold everything together. But there comes a moment where faith says “I’m going to lay this down.” God sees you.
God hears you.
God is standing with you. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is stop trying to fix it and give it to Jesus. Lay it down.
