Note: This video is made out of architectural historical research and interest in history. Those who publicly comment its location will be removed and blocked. Glorifying and idiotic reactions likewise. It was a Nazi community house (Gemeinschaftshaus). The regime built similar halls in towns and new settlements across Germany, always in the spot where a church would traditionally stand. The aim was to replace the church with a pseudo-religious Nazi alternative. Instead of a congregation, there were party rallies and speeches. Instead of a cross, an eagle and a swastika. Instead of a pulpit, a speakersโ€™ balcony (Rednerbalkon) facing the square. The regime also staged its own ceremonies for the moments the church had once marked, such as consecrations, weddings, and festivals, with the party in place of the clergy. Ofcourse the NS did built also many churches, with NS imagery next to Christian imagery. In this case they took it a step further like this did in quite a few places. The regime also staged its own ceremonies for the moments the church had once marked, such as consecrations, weddings, and festivals, with the party in place of the clergy. The regime fell. The buildings stayed. This one is now a supermarket. Buildings last. Would you live here? #germany #history #architecture #society #ww2
