If you only know your Sun sign and your kid’s Sun sign (this is probably the zodiac sign you think of yourself as) then you only know a tiny part of the bigger story of how you connect.

If my sun is Pisces and my 2.5yo son’s moon is Sagittarius, does that explain why I’m trying to be a cozy lamp at 6:30am and he’s trying to get out the front door to sit under the glaring sun on our stoop?! 🫩😅

IM OFFICIALLY A MARATHONER!!! 🗽🏅 Still taking in the fact that I just ran 26.2 miles through all five boroughs of a city that holds so much of my childhood and heart, surrounded by the energy of the NYC Marathon’s 50th anniversary. I came so close to missing my chance to qualify after arriving late to a Brooklyn race, but I wasn’t ready to give up. I showed up for one last opportunity at the Midnight Run, spent New Year’s alone, and chose this goal above everything else. Two years of early mornings, long Saturday miles with the team, doubts and sacrifices but I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Miles 21-26 were a fight of their own. Battling posterior tibial tendinitis in both legs and constant calf cramps, I was limping but kept running. I thought of little me running around con mis rizos de oro, and how beautiful it is that we get to keep showing up for the dreams we once had. And NEW YORK!!! The energy across all five boroughs was unreal. Strangers coming together of all cultures, and even offering to spray my legs with Biofreeze when they saw me struggling. That is the beauty of this city. Seeing my Jersey run clubs show up & show OUT made it even more special. Shoutout to @therunclubusa @tekerunclub @rwp.team @reignrunning @runultraproject at the mile 20 cheer zone🤍 A PR is still in my future, but I wouldn’t trade this first experience for anything. A moment I will take with me for the rest of my life. First marathon. First Major. First of my lineage. And definitely won’t be my last.🧡💙
