💋 HOOCHIE BEAUTY OF THE WEEK 💋 The Beauty Issue | Meet Eden Reid EDEN REID, 28, is a content creator and social media influencer from North Carolina. With her signature looks and unapologetic confidence, Eden is passionate about making herself happy, looking good, feeling sexy, and learning the culture behind the looks she creates. Living by the motto, “Covered in confidence, dressed in temptation,” this week’s Hoochie Beauty is a celebration of individuality, femininity, and self-expression. I asked Eden a few questions about beauty, confidence, and what being a Hoochie means to her. WHAT DOES BEING A HOOCHIE MEAN TO YOU? “Most people take being called a hoochie as an insult, but me? Baby I literally soak that alllll in. Being a hoochie is expressive, it’s confidence, it’s feminine! It’s fun and my ALL time favorite, not living for OTHERS people approval. F*ck what they think.” WHEN DO YOU FEEL MOST BEAUTIFUL? “I feel my most beautiful at all times to be honest. When I look in the mirror I’m always embracing. Every curve, every stretch mark, every dimple, every scar. It all makes up who I am. When you feel your best at all times, there’s no need for validation.” WHAT MAKES YOU UNAPOLOGETICALLY YOU? “Definitely my confidence and self expression!!! most people think when I’m wearing my long nails, and I got a little skin showing that I’m doing too much but I simply take it as them not doing enough.” ⸻ BEAUTY NOTES Age: 28 From: North Carolina Occupation: Content Creator & Social Media Influencer Personal Motto: “If I got it, I’m going to flaunt it.” For Eden, beauty isn’t about seeking approval. It’s about embracing every part of yourself and having the confidence to show up exactly as you are. Congratulations to our Hoochie Beauty of the Week, Eden Reid! 💋 FOLLOW OUR HOOCHIE BEAUTY: 📸 Instagram: @thequeenofthegarden THE HOOCHIE HISTORIAN Celebrating Black Culture, One Hoochie at a Time. #HoochieBeautyOfTheWeek #HoochieArchive #HoochieHistorian #HoochieCulture
Playboi Carti’s influence on fashion goes far beyond the outfits he wears. Throughout his career, he has helped shape how an entire generation approaches personal style, moving from the rare streetwear and skinny jeans of his early days to the dark, experimental aesthetic associated with his Opium era. During his early streetwear era, Carti embodied the intersection of underground streetwear, designer fashion and skate culture, embracing labels like Raf Simons, Supreme, and Rick Owens. With Whole Lotta Red, he pushed his image in a darker direction, bringing gothic imagery, punk influences, leather, dramatic silhouettes and vampiric styling further into the conversation around rap fashion. That evolution continued through Opium, where all black fits, distressed denim, statement accessories, unconventional proportions and a rebellious approach to luxury became part of a recognizable visual identity. His influence extends beyond his own wardrobe, helping shape the aesthetic of artists around him and inspiring fans to adopt the look themselves. Carti didn’t invent these subcultures, but he helped introduce their influences to a new generation through hip-hop, turning fashion into an extension of his music and the world he has built around it. His impact can be seen in how fans dress, discover brands and use personal style to express their identity. How much do y’all think Carti has influenced fashion?
