One of the most soulful experiences of our lives: The Japanese Tea Ceremony. 🎎
The host started with explaining “Ichigo Ichie 一期一会” which translates to: One time, one meeting”. A japanese philosophy to remind you that each encounter in your life happens only once, and should be experienced with complete presence.
The Japanese tea ceremony is a world away from the alo-pilates-matcha culture we know today. It’s not really about the tea at all. It’s a ritual of slowing down, grounding yourself, and being entirely present in the moment.
Samurai are said to have practiced tea before battle 🤷♀️
