To be honest, no: get your shoes resoled regularly, rotate them well, and don't let it get to that point in the first place.

You have Frye boots he’s right take care of them you can have 10+ years but no point of resoling them if you don’t take care of them. If you don’t I’m time the leather can crack when it dries out
