We’re excited to present our newest release, The World is dancing on the edge of a cliff by Carlo Mombelli, out this Friday.
Featuring Msaki (vocals), Matthieu Michel (trumpet), Nils Petter Molvær (trumpet & electronics), Django Bates (piano), Carlo Mombelli (bass) and Jeff Ballard (drums).
South African bassist and composer Carlo Mombelli has developed a distinctive musical language shaped by contemporary composition, improvisation and his deep connection to African musical traditions. His music moves between delicate textures, open forms and powerful moments of collective improvisation.
The World Is dancing on the edge of a cliff is an intimate and adventurous meeting of versatile musicians — balancing composition and freedom, fragility and intensity.
Out this Friday on all streaming platforms.
