Halle Berry is pushing back against Olivier Martinez’s claims that a photo taken by their 13-year-old son supports allegations of abuse.
_____________________________________________
In new court documents obtained by TMZ, Berry argues that the image shows her standing calmly with her hands in her pockets several feet away from Maceo. She says the photo does not show any bruises, redness, or injuries that would support Martinez’s allegation that she strangled their son.
_____________________________________________
Berry further claimed Martinez selectively presented text messages and omitted important context to portray her negatively. She also alleged that Maceo’s behavior at school worsened after a temporary restraining order was issued and that he received a full week of disciplinary detention. Martinez has asked that Maceo be allowed to testify about the alleged incident. Berry denies abusing him, saying they were playfully roughhousing before the situation escalated.

Paris Protests See Designer Stores Targeted by Looters.

Stores in Paris and other French cities have been targeted amid nationwide demonstrations on Saturday 17 October. Footage and imagery has emerged of Arcteryx, Louis Vuitton, Apple, Celine, Hermes, Dior as well as prominent department store Galleries Lafayette being targeted by looters.

The demonstrations grew out of student protests over conditions in schools and teacher shortages, expanding to include anger over rising living costs and deteriorating public services. Students were joined by trade unions and other demonstrators across France.

James May is the most unexpectedly deadpan comedian in British automotive television history, a former Top Gear presenter who delivered one of the funniest lines in the show’s 22-season run with a completely straight face during a live studio fire while holding a tin of something called Pussy.
Top Gear Series 15 Episode 7, the 2010 Christmas special, featured Clarkson, Hammond and May presenting gift ideas for motorists in a candlelit studio setting. Among the gifts was Pussy Natural Energy Drink -- a real, commercially available natural energy drink with a name that Clarkson introduced to his co-presenters with the specific energy of a man who had been waiting the entire week to say it on television. Hammond then demonstrated a quadcopter drone, Clarkson took control of it, and the remote control plane took out the studio lighting. The candles were lit. The romantic atmosphere lasted approximately ninety seconds before Hammond accidentally set his script paper on fire from one of the candles. Clarkson attempted to help and set the small Christmas tree beside Hammond ablaze instead. With the tree now actively burning in a live television studio, May turned to Clarkson, held up the tin with complete composure and suggested they pour some Pussy on it. The studio audience has never fully recovered. May delivered the line with the same expression he uses to discuss tyre compounds, gearbox ratios and the mechanical advantages of a diesel engine. The tree was extinguished. The clip has been viewed more times than most of that season’s car reviews.
