I FINISHED a marathon.🏅I’m proud because I used to be someone who avoided challenges. But I’ve learned there’s beauty in pushing your limits, joy in trying new things, and progress in failure.

Survivor taught me this. My injury taught me this. Parenthood continues to teach me this. And running (and training for) this marathon is the latest lesson. I’ve never been a runner, but by virtue of just *trying,* I can call myself one. That’s pretty cool if you think about it. 🏃🏾‍♂️

I guess what I’m saying is, if you’re reading this, I hope that you go for something that you think is interesting, hard, or maybe even impossible. I guarantee you’ll be surprised if you just put yourself in motion 🌊🦋

Our last apples of the season: Pink Lady… I think.

Why am I not 100% sure? Because when I bought this tree at a box store 8 or 10 years ago, it was labeled Granny Smith! Both varieties are late season apples and great for pies, but buy your trees from a reputable nursery.

A little tan, a little tease, a whole lot of me. ☀️
