TOAST Renewed By | Bethany Williams

For the latest TOAST Renewed By collection, Bethany Williams has used remnant fabrics and archive pieces to create a selection of one-of-a-kind garments. Writer and sustainability consultant Aja Barber met Bethany at her studio to discuss the collaboration.

“In a time when sustainability has shifted and felt deprioritised in the greater conversation, I jump at any opportunity to be a part of a collaboration that feels aligned and authentic. So when TOAST asked me to interview Bethany Williams for the second TOAST Renewed collection in its series, I was thrilled and excited. Working with people who inject such thoughtfulness and care into their work, can be some of the most joyful work you do.”.

Read more about the collaboration on the #TOASTmagazine at the link in bio.

My doctor friend is addicted to hitting people on their knees to test their reflexes. He..really gets a kick out of it.

Knees are among the largest and most complex joints in the human body, connecting the thighbone, shinbone, and kneecap. They allow us to walk, run, jump, squat, and bend our legs while supporting much of our body weight. The kneecap, called the patella, protects the front of the joint and helps the thigh muscles straighten the leg more efficiently. Interestingly, babies are born with kneecaps made largely of cartilage, which gradually turns into bone as they grow.
Another surprising fact is that your knees don’t just bend and straighten; they also rotate slightly, especially when bent. Ligaments, cartilage, tendons, and muscles work together to keep the joint stable. Despite their impressive engineering, knees are particularly vulnerable to injuries because they regularly absorb enormous forces during movement. Evolution gave humans the ability to walk upright, but apparently decided that two complicated joints should handle most of the complaints.

could get used to fall 🤎😊🍂

a little update 🍂🎞️🤎

Cheers to another year 🍻 every year has brought something new along the ride. To the people who have came, gone and stayed on this crazy trip. I wouldn’t be here with out yall. 30s is an interesting time. The aches are real. The golf is better. The pants sizes fluctuate. Can’t be more blessed for the life I have and happiness I have. ❤️
