TSRPrayersUp: #TSRLocalLens—The NYPD is searching for at least two suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of #JavitsFrimpong, 15. ____________________________________ According to @nbcnewyork, Frimpong was shot in the stomach Thursday morning near East 171st Street and Third Avenue. Surveillance from the morning of the shooting showed Frimpong running while a person dressed in all black chased him. The person stopped and turned around. Another angle showed two other people who were spotted across the street. ____________________________________
The teen’s father, Thomas Frimpong, spoke out and shared that he had complained to school officials about being bullied. As a result, two students were suspended. He believes the shooting may have been in retaliation for that incident. ____________________________________ Thomas Frimpong says he learned about his son being shot from his principal. He said, “The school can testify my son is always quiet.” ____________________________________ Congressman Ritchie Torres spoke about the shooting and said, “Our entire borough is mourning a young man who should have had his whole future ahead of him.” ✍🏾: #TSRStaffJW #TSRStaffTC
