Fable And Leaf

I have finally completed this drawing. I took some time, changed a couple of things, and I could still see more things to do, but I'm not chasing perfection. This is a birthday card, and hopefully it brings peace to the person who receives it. And it is a huge step for me, since I'm giving it to the very person whose harsh, constant criticism turned me away from drawing all these years ago. But, there is beauty in drawing, beyond what you create. To me, it's part of therapy. The new me can show a drawing without fear, not because it is perfect, but because I'm healed now.
So, happy birthday Mum. May your path be more serene.
