LABOR DAY WEEKEND PART 3/3 — BLACK CANYON OF THE GUNNISON 🖤🏔️

We saved one of the most spectacular moments for the end: Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Carved over millions of years by the powerful Gunnison River, this canyon is so deep, narrow, and steep that early explorers struggled to even navigate through it. First documented in the 1800s, it eventually became protected as a national monument in 1933 and a national park in 1999. Standing at the edge, looking down into those almost impossibly dark walls, you can’t help but feel very, very small.

But maybe that’s exactly what nature is meant to do — remind us of our place in the world. The silence, the vastness, the shadows and the light… it felt almost sacred. Some places you visit and take pictures. Others you experience — and carry home with you. This was definitely one of those places. 🏔️✨

And now, back to Florida with my heart completely full. ❤️ This trip gave me exactly what I knew I needed: nature, quietude, adventure, and love. Back home recharged, grateful, and reminded that sometimes the best way to find yourself again is simply to get away — and get lost in something bigger than you. 🌎❤️
