Just 6 years ago, my life looked very different than it does right now…and I have a video to prove it.

I was turning 52 and starting over.

Everything in my life had changed all at once.

My talkshow was canceled and I didn’t know my next career move.

My husband and I moved to Vermont and sold the home outside Boston where we had lived and raised our kids for 26 years.

I was living in a tiny town and had no friend group.

My body, my hormones, my routine and sense of self and purpose - gone.

It was almost as if I was stuck between two lives: the life I had been living and the life I had yet to create.

I started to convince myself at 52 that the best days of my life and career were behind me.

And that brings me to a video I want you to see.

It’s me on my 52nd birthday, crying alone in a bedroom describing how I feel.

Six years ago, there was no @themelrobbinspodcast .

There was no @letthemtheory book.

There was just me, starting over in a new chapter of my life and feeling scared and overwhelmed about all the unknowns.

And now here we are six years later.

Most people only know me because of what I’ve accomplished in the last four years (in my late 50s!)

You can change your life.

You can start exactly where you are and figure it out.

And if you keep waking up and moving forward and pushing yourself to try new things - over time you’ll surprise yourself.

Which is why I am waking up on my 58th birthday stunned by just how much my life has changed for the better.

If I can go from crying alone in a bedroom - to six years later changing every aspect of my life and myself - so can you.

And if you don’t believe in yourself right now, I want you to know that you can always borrow my belief in you, until you do.

Future parents? Maybe.
Still behaving like children? Absolutely. 🍭

Today, we officially enter the 9th month…
and we’re ready whenever you are our sweetheart💖

My last minute tips to all my friends running the CHICAGO MARATHON ❤️⭐️💙

This has and always will be my favorite race. 🥹 Chicago marathon means so much to me. It was my first marathon in 90+ degrees, it was my first BQ in 2023 & it’s my current PR. 😩 It’s a marathon that brings both sides of my family together which is rare with divorced parents.

I can’t wait for you all to experience this magic on race day; whether it’s your first marathon, your first Chicago or one of many! 💫
