Busan International Film Festival 🇰🇷❤️

Kate and I are here with “Will You Still Be My Friend”, a film about a Singapore city family and a fishing village in southern Taiwan. We’re so happy to be part of it.

The casting feels very apt for us. Kate is Taiwanese and has made Singapore home. I’m Singaporean and have spent much of my career in Taiwan. We’re both a bit of each place, and this story sits right between the two.

A huge congratulations to director Lu Po-shun and the whole team, for representing Taiwan at BIFF and for the Golden Horse nomination. So proud of what you’ve built. 🎬

I’ve spent most of this past year deep in F&B work. Being here reminds me how much I love film.

It’s been so good reconnecting with people from the industry, filmmakers from all over the world and especially our Taiwanese friends. Every conversation reminds us how much we care about this craft, and how much more we want to give back to the filmmaking community.

It’s also giving Kate and me something we haven’t had much of lately: time together. With work keeping us in different cities, these few days mean a lot. ❤️

And yes, we’re eating very, very well. 🍜
