Katt Williams is opening up about how becoming a father at a young age completely changed his life, eventually leading him to raise a large blended family while building his comedy career.

In his memoir, “Nine Lives, No Wives and 69 Concubines,” the 55-year-old comedian recalls discovering he had a daughter with his former girlfriend Angela nearly a year after her birth.

“It f**ked me up too. Messed me up inside so bad I felt my chest cave in,” he admitted. Although Angela raised their daughter while he pursued comedy, Williams remained hopeful about her future, writing, “I left knowing one thing: our daughter, a little chocolate queen, would grow into one of the most loved and stunning Black women on earth.”

His responsibilities grew when another ex-girlfriend, Justine, asked him to take full-time custody of their son, Micah.

“Suddenly, I was a full-time dad with a daughter in South Carolina and a son on my hip,” he recalled. “My daughter was now 3, and I wasn’t in her life as I should have been. Micah was with me, but I didn’t know a thing about raising a child.”

Williams eventually adopted Justine’s six other children, admitting, “Taking in those kids changed my life in ways I never saw coming.” He described the transition as “One kid to seven kids overnight? That was a head-on collision in a minivan full of responsibility.”

Determined to give the children a “normal life,” Williams purchased a spacious California home and welcomed additional families into the household, where the children called him “Dad.”

“My big-a** family became my whole damn universe,” he reflected. “Would I change a thing? Hell no.”

Despite acknowledging his parenting mistakes, Williams added, “Not because I got everything right. But look at what we built: 10 beautiful human beings that I somehow managed not to ruin.”
