25 years later, and it still feels like yesterday. 💔
A day where I was rushed out of school with no explanation. Being within close proximity, my family went frantic making endless phone calls to family members, only to get busy signal in return.
A day the world was glued to the television watching what felt like a horror movie only to be real terrorism in real time! I will never forget the fear I had, the fear in my mother’s eyes, the fright in my dad’s voice, and the hugs that felt extra special that day.
25 years later, I have worked in aviation for nearly 15 years and have travelled across the globe doing what most people still fear to do this day… FLY!
Every year, on September 11th, I’m vividly reminded of that day. I think of the people I know who have been directly impacted! I look at my wings and how I stand proud to be a Flight Attendant and to ensure safety for hundreds of thousands of passengers!
But today, we remember the brave Flight Crew, First Responders, heroes and lives lost on that tragic day! Together, we can work together to mend the broken pieces of our hearts from a day that changed the world and history of aviation forever.
