The U.S. is sending several hundred Army soldiers to train and conduct exercises with local forces in Latin America as the Pentagon expands its campaign to combat drug trafficking in the region, according to U.S. military officials. The deployments and a growing headquarters in Miami, along with the Pentagon’s recent movement of several MQ-9 Reaper drones from Africa to Colombia and Ecuador, are the latest widening of the Defense Department’s fight against drug traffickers in the region. Across Latin America, voters have recently elected leaders who have put tackling criminal groups and restoring safety at the top of their agendas. But the prospect of U.S. operations on Latin American soil has raised concerns about sovereignty, and has recalled a long and bloody history of U.S. intervention in the region. Ad | Anzeige | The beauty of flowers often lies in the smallest details. Their delicate shapes, subtle shades, and the way they bring a certain atmosphere and character to a space. For this beautiful arrangement by @silkkaflowers . I had the pleasure of personally selecting each flower before it was thoughtfully arranged especially for me. And I have to say, the result exceeded all my expectations. I couldn’t be happier with how beautifully it turned out. What I particularly love about Silk-ka is the incredibly lifelike quality of their artificial flowers. With over 30 years of experience, the Dutch brand has a wonderful eye for detail and a true passion for floral artistry. Every bloom looks so natural and beautifully crafted that it’s almost hard to believe they’re not real. And the loveliest part? Their beauty can be enjoyed for years to come. A little opulent, timeless, and full of character. Almost like a piece of art. 🤎 #SilkKaFlowers #FloralArtistry #CollectedHome #TimelessInteriors #ArtificialFlowers
