FIFA are coming to town!
On Monday, September 14, 2026, a FIFA delegation will be in Nigeria at the invitation of the Nigeria Football Association to consult with football stakeholders and conduct an assessment of the prevailing situation of things at the Nigeria Football Federation/Association.
Nigeria may be the most visited country by FIFA on the issue of crisis during election in the history of the world! Why?
Why does the mention of FIFA conjure fear in Nigeria?
What is the actual role of FIFA in the internal affairs of its member?
Is a Normalization Committee imminent in this particular case with no Executive Committee in place?
What should Nigerians expect from this FIFA-intervention?
On ‘90 mins with Mathematical’ we shall attempt to answer these and other questions.
Join ‘the MGP’, Maxwell Lawrence as he invites the public to an open conversation on the subject in the morning on Eagle7 Sports Radio, 103.7 FM, Abeokuta, from 7:30 AM of Saturday, September 12, 2026.
