THE SCIENCE OF BECOMING HER: SELF-CARE & NEUROPLASTICITY 🧠 comment AFFIRMATIONS for my rewiring playlist 🔗 Beauty is not just something you see. It is something you experience, practise and reinforce. Even if you just have 30 seconds, those 30 seconds matter. One of the most fascinating things about the brain is its ability to change through repeated experiences, a process known as neuroplasticity. Every time you intentionally take care of yourself, whether that's doing your skincare, nourishing your body, moving with intention or simply keeping a promise to yourself, you're reinforcing behaviours that can gradually become part of your identity. Our brains learn through repetition. The more consistently we practise a behaviour, the more natural and automatic it can become. Applying your lip balm, brushing your hair, moisturising your hands or taking a moment to yourself may seem insignificant, but these small rituals are opportunities to practise showing up for yourself. It's not about having an elaborate routine or expensive products. It's about consistently treating yourself as someone worthy of care, time and attention. Over time, these repeated actions can strengthen your habits, self-trust and the way you relate to yourself. The real glow-up isn't just about changing your appearance. It's about creating daily evidence that you are someone worth investing in. #glowuptips #glowups #glowupthreads #gratefulmindset #healthyhabitsforlife
I haven’t had much to say about the race yet because I haven’t been in a good mind space since the start. It isn’t the race’s fault, there’s something in my mind that hasn’t been able to engage with the conditions, the course, and the challenge. Somewhere deep down I thought this might be like AMR six years ago, and that I would be better at it now because I’m more experienced now. But really, this is an entirely different experience. It has the bike in common, but that’s where the commonality ends for me. Taurus is more everything. More hills more mud more rain more challenge. I feel weak saying how hard it is for me, but I owe it to myself and everyone else to be honest about my limits. I have been able to move. My body works well. My bike has been working well. But the challenge has tapped my spririt. My mind is the weak link. So, while I’ve move through steep climbs and empty mountains - shepherds down for the winter - I’ve been alone with my weak mind. I self coach, try to focus, distract, pray, whatever. But, negativity has crept in. I’ve thought of scratching more times than I can count. Even today I tried to call Sarah to tell her that I was spent, but the call didn’t go through, so I kept going. Rohan rode near me off an ok for a bit this evening. A wonderful distraction. We descended into a town searching for food and a room. No room was found. A man chased us down as we left town and invited us in. “We are just sitting for dinner. Stay with us.” The rainy cold night shifted from bleak to wonderful instantly. The race didn’t matter. You can’t rush local hospitality. The family overwhelmed us with generosity, hot food, and tea. They washed our kits and scrubbed our shoes! This. This was a transformational moment. Warm and happy and among new friends. Maybe I’m not an ultra racer. Maybe I’m a bike tourer, amazed by people as much as mountains. Tomorrow I’ll start riding again, with this memory permanent in my mind forever. Will I make the finish? I don’t know. Day by day. Memory by memory from here on out. #rideexplorecreate

‘Forget function, erase constraints, and claim your identity’ was the direction Ray-Ban gave 29 multidisciplinary artists ahead of Art Basel Paris 2026. Debuting at this year’s show, ‘Impossible Frames’ challenges a new generation of visionaries to reject the logic of materials and structure, moving beyond what seems feasible to explore new possibilities for creative expression. The exhibition creates a space where imagination is limitless and new worlds can take shape. Experience ‘Impossible Frames’ Friday, October 23–Sunday, October 25 at the Grand Palais, and discover how @RayBan is empowering creators to shape new realities and drive culture forward. — Featured artists (in order of appearance): 1) Clara Rodriguez Barcelo (@clararodriguez_b) 2) Japparii: Vakho Jappari (@japparii) 3) Hoi Chan (@hoichandraws)
