My favorite thing is giving little Michelle the dreams she never knew were hers to reach for.

Would you ever drink cockroach milk? 🪳🥛

Scientists have discovered that the Pacific beetle cockroach produces a milk-like substance containing protein crystals packed with nutrients. Research suggests these crystals contain more than three times the energy of an equivalent amount of cow’s milk, making them a potential candidate for future nutritional supplements.

Unlike cows, cockroaches cannot simply be milked. The substance is produced to nourish developing embryos, and extracting its nutrient-rich crystals is an extremely difficult process.

Although researchers are exploring whether these proteins could eventually be produced on a larger scale, cockroach milk is still far from becoming a commercially available superfood.

The science is fascinating, but the thought of drinking cockroach milk might be enough to make most people lose their appetite. 💀

Announcement:

I will no longer be taking corporate PAC money or any special interest money tied to foreign policy. This cycle, I was able to raise around $4 million in small-dollar donations. I will be one of a handful of elected officials who will not take this money anymore, and I think that’s incredibly important for the American people.

More elected officials should do it, but campaign finance is a double-edged sword, and it can be incredibly expensive to run for office, so some are unable to do so at this point until they build up a bigger support base.
It is important to lead by example.

Thank you all for your continued support, and I look forward to the 120th Congress.

I stood amid the ashes of everything I once called mine.
In a world half- buried in ashes, I kept a diamond where my ruin used to be.
