I’m a little late with my end-of-summer wrap….Summer 2026, you were a good one ❤️. Family, friends, graduations, adventures near and far, spectacular Canadian nature, inspiring art, far too much good food and a little work and commentary along the way.
A few highlights:
✈️ On the road: from the UK, France, Denmark and Norway to Mexico, Chicago and NYC. Wandering, hiking, discovering, seeing travels through a 15-year-old’s eyes, and celebrating graduations with some very proud aunty moments! 🎓❤️ Along the way, I enjoyed art I love at the Art Institute of Chicago, MoMA and MUNCH in Oslo.
🇨🇦 Canadian summer: Sonora Resort, BC; Muskoka, Ontario; and the Outaouais, Quebec. Time on the water and in nature, appreciating how spectacular our country is—and fishing for the first time and catching my first salmon! 🎣
🇫🇷 Lyon, France: food, food, food. A culinary delight! I ate, drank, wandered through food markets, and discovered wonderful restaurants over long meals with friends. Perhaps I’ll return for cooking lessons—en français! 👩🍳
🇺🇸 Washington, D.C.: a memorable visit with Ambassador John Negroponte, hearing stories from his work with Henry Kissinger to serving as President Reagan’s Deputy National Security Advisor. We bonded over Hong Kong, his first diplomatic posting and my birthplace.
