‘Saturday Night Live’ turned its Halloween cold open into a send-up of Nicki Minaj’s support for President Donald Trump. Cast member Saidah Belo-Osagie played Minaj, bursting into the sketch near its end as James Austin Johnson’s Trump praised her loyalty to his movement. The sketch also cast her as Trump’s next choice for White House press secretary. “Trump’s out here killing it,” Belo-Osagie’s Minaj declared. “And by it, I mean my career.” See more of the ‘SNL’ sketch at the link in bio.

Nesting thoughts 💭🐣 Having been a midwife prior to this you would think I’d have it all figured out😅 But honestly, having more knowledge doesn’t always help. Sometimes, it actually makes things feel harder. I’m still human, with my own experience, my own concerns and worries. I have a midwife because I recognise that I shouldn’t be making all the decisions on my own through an emotional or biased lens. Yes, I trust my body, but in this world I’m not sure if that’s enough anymore, and I think that’s true for almost everything in life. Isn’t that why coaches need coaches, doctors need doctors, and therapists need therapists? Knowing and doing aren’t the same thing, and I’ve learnt that there is so much value in the unteachable lessons we gain from personal experience. So, to all the mums here, what’s the best advice you received during pregnancy or motherhood? Help a new FTM out 🩷
