Due to the way that it has already started drying you will have to presoak it and gently open it back up which could damage the color and the wings. Itβs best to place this in a jar or frame of some sort but to not force its wings open because they will break.

Itβs a Papilio Polyxenes. Alabama Region. That one looks to be female because of the orange/red eye spots with a single dark dot in the center. corner of the hindwing. You can find them in Natural and Suburban areas.
