More money will be spent in this election than in any previous midterm — and Elon Musk's contributions make him the largest individual contributor in an election cycle since Michael Bloomberg contributed more than $1bn to his own 2020 presidential campaign.

This chart is the election. Elon Musk $444mn for Republicans. The next 9 combined: ∼$324mn. Musk alone is bigger than everyone else. Biggest donor since Bloomberg $1bn in 2020. And this excludes dark money 501(c)(4). Real number is probably $600mn+. BofA says -10% if Dems win. This is why Musk is paying to avoid that. Market is not voting, it's being bought. And it's priced in.
