Emotionally immature partners struggle to hear you. This is because they cannot sit in discomfort. Emotionally mature partners listen to find middle ground. They realize everything isnโ€™t an attack, and even when theyโ€™re uncomfortable they take deep breaths and let you speak. While all relationships take work and accountability, if youโ€™re chronically drained and the thought of a difficult conversation puts your stomach into knots, you may have an emotionally immature partner. Ask yourself: 1. Can I express how I feel without being on the end of high reactivity or the silent treatment? 2. If I have a different perception of the same experience do they allow me to have it or do they force their own perspective onto me? 3. Do they ask me questions to understand, or make accusations that I end up defending myself against? 4. Do they apologize or self reflect on their role or do they deflect instead? 5. How does my body feel after a tense conversation with them? #selfhealers

[ Manual ๐Ÿ”˜ ] - Yesterday morning I went on a photowalk with @ritaraka , and my preferred pieces of hardware were the Sony with my Manual lens ๐Ÿคฉ. The weather predictions were all over the place the last couple of days, but we got greeted with some sunshine after a couple of clouds ๐Ÿ˜. These were taken while I was still warming up after arriving in Amsterdam, a great spot to do so! - โ€ผ๏ธ also changing up my editing a little bit, felt like doing something differentโ€ผ๏ธ - โฌ…๏ธ donโ€™t forget to swipe to see all 4 pictures, which one is your favorite?
Birthdays donโ€™t have to be happy to be honest. Today Iโ€™m turning 24, the age my brother was. If your birthday brings up something hard too, youโ€™re not doing it wrong. ๐Ÿค
