Still reminiscing on all the special memories from tour! So grateful to have had @trycreate along for the ride and part of our tour family! ❤️ And stay tuned… I have a special livestream coming up this week where we’ll catch up and talk all things tour and more!

We are still not over it.

It is Sunday afternoon, we are standing in the middle of the derig, pulling cables and stacking cases, and none of us can quite believe what happened in that hall last night.

Thank you. To everyone who came, who looked out for each other, who stayed until the lights came on. You made the first one what it was.

We are reading every message and collecting all the feedback right now. It goes straight into the next one.

New dates are online. Link in bio.

I was homeschooled and now I’m a millionaire:

Here’s my advice for anyone homeschooling their kids:

1: Teach them Latin.

It’s the foundation of so many other languages and it makes it so easy to understand the meaning of new words. Same goes for Greek.

2: Teach them how to make a logical argument.

Yes, it could mean something nerdy like Debate Club but I’m telling you, the skill to think critically and make a logical, unemotional argument, is something a lot of people severely lack, IMO.

3: Teach them a strong work ethic.

A huge part of my success in my business is because my parents drilled hard work into me. I’m forever grateful.

4: Teach them social etiquette.

Obviously, make sure your children have a healthy, diverse group of friends but additionally children learning the structure of proper manners is such an important life skill.

5: Teach them to love reading.

The best way to teach someone to love reading is to model reading yourself. I switched away from reading my Kindle to reading real books because my daughter Ellie thought I was on my phone every time I read my Kindle and I don’t want to model screen time to her.

6: Teach them to communicate confidently.

Public speaking, making eye contact, asking good questions, and having conversations with adults. Being able to communicate your ideas effectively will open SO many doors down the road for them.

7: Teach them to fail.

One of the biggest things I see new business owners struggle with is a complete incapacity to handle failure. Failure should not be devastating, it should be a blip on the road that gives you data for next time.

8: Teach them delayed gratification.

This is hard to do in an age of “I want what I want and I want it RIGHT NOW!” But if you want your kid to be successful, they’ve got to learn how to sit in the discomfort of not getting what they want right away.

I’m now homeschooling my daughter & hope to pass on the same things my parents did.

If you’re homeschooling, just know that you are giving your kid a huge headstart in life. It’s hard but it’s worth it.

Forever grateful for the privilege & advantages I have being a homeschooled kid.
