They are two of the world's best-known Bobs from the US Midwest. Now Pope Leo XIV, whose birth name is Robert Prevost, and Bob Dylan, the legendary musician, have met in the Vatican.

Leo and Dylan were both seen meeting in the Vatican's apostolic palace, the pope's residence, on Wednesday. The pope was wearing his white cassock and Dylan a black coat, black gloves and a black hoodie.

The meeting was brokered by Rev. Antonio Spadaro, a Vatican official known for building bridges between the church and wider culture. Spadaro earlier this year arranged a meeting between Pope Leo and Patti Smith.

Leo is not, however, the first pope that Dylan has met. At a 1997 church event attended by Pope John Paul II in Bologna, Italy, Dylan played some of his songs, including "Blowin' in the Wind", "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall".

In 2017, my flatmate introduced me to this song.

I can still relate

There’s a snake in my boot!

I stayed at the cheapest (option with 4 walls) vs. the most expensive lodging in Yosemite Valley 💸

In the video, I share my review of each. Here are more details 👇

⛺Curry Village Tent Cabins:
💵A little over $200 per night
🍕Steps away from restaurants, and very close to everything in the Yosemite Valley
👍I thought the cabin was comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, and I never had to wait for a shower (maybe just because it was shoulder season)
👎My downsides were that the cabins were very close together, parking was difficult during peak times, and just that it’s a lot of money to still being sharing a shower. Also, you can’t do any cooking here or have any food in your cabin (due to bears).

🏨The Ahwahnee Hotel:
💵A little over $800 per night
🏞️Incredible views from the hotel. Looking directly at Half Dome from our window was so special! And a very beautiful lobby and dining room.
👍The room was nice, the views were epic, and the cocktails were delicious
👎My downsides were that the dining room had a strict reservation and dress code policy for dinner. We opted to eat at the bar, but it was a long wait. We also had to wait to get a table for breakfast. And of course, the wildly high price was the biggest downside.

My verdict: I recommend that anyone stays at the Curry Village tent cabins - it’s an amazing location and I loved the glamping vibes! And I recommend that anyone goes to have a drink at the Ahwahnee and see the grounds. That way, you get the best of both worlds 🍻

What do you think? Would you stay at either of these?
