.
On Sugarloaf climbed Schliery
Eight legs trembling, never weary.
Up the granite, steep and shining,
Higher still, our spider climbing.
Then halfway up that dizzy face,
She felt a rush she couldn't place.
A wave of pleasure, fierce, sublime,
Right there upon her daring climb.
She gripped the rock, the whole world spun,
Rio glittered in the sun.
Then Schliery sighed, regained her pace,
โGood Lord, what an excellent place.โ
