Suffering Mind are a grindcore band from Lublin, Poland, formed in 2007, and one of the defining names in modern Polish grindcore. The band originally featured female vocalist Ula, whose ferocious vocals became a hallmark of their early releases, including At War with Mankind, the self-titled LP, and Death to False Grind.
Their discography is packed with underground essentials, from At War with Mankind (2009) and Suffering Mind (2010) to Waste Farm (2014), Lifeless (2022), and countless splits with Agathocles, Lifes, Nak’ay, Detroit, Fiend, and Whoresnation. Their raw, politically charged grind has made them one of Poland’s most respected extreme bands.

Since 2014, vocal duties have been handled by Ben Southern, a familiar name from the Northern UK grind scene. After years of touring and sharing stages with Suffering Mind through bands like Magpyes and Introrectalgestation (with Chris Reece of Horsebastard), Ben was invited to join the band, making his recording debut on Waste Farm. He also fronts Votiv, a UK d-beat/crust band featuring members of Deviated Instinct, The Afternoon Gentlemen, and Suffering Mind.
