I thought the opening weekend of TIFF 2026 was lacking so much energy compared to previous years. 👎 From a lack of local promotional, buzz leading up to the Fest, to an unexciting, opening film that received limited buildup, to the underwhelming, flat, dull, Festival Street party on King St W. Just because Yorkville was involved shouldn’t mean the home base of Entertainment District on King W should suffer. Very unimaginative, bland booths, set up with little thought, creativity, care put into that pedestrian street all weekend. Nothing much interesting or fun. Limited & basic food options. No live stage set-up. You can’t fool Toronto when it comes to street festivals. They know a dud. Figure it out. Do better next year please. You shouldn’t have to downgrade with @rogers as sponsors. #tiff26
