Before BrickHeadz, there were CubeDudes. Back in 2010, LEGO released a very limited Star Wars CubeDudes set exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con, featuring Yoda alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi, Captain Rex, C-3PO and R2-D2.
Seven years later, at SDCC 2017, Boba Fett & Han Solo in Carbonite joined the BrickHeadz line.
Same convention. Same galaxy. Different generation.
Pretty cool to have these two pieces of LEGO Star Wars history side by side — the CubeDude that came before, and the BrickHeadz that followed.
And as icing on the cubes, both are sample versions — part of a very small run made primarily for LEGO employees working the booth and similar purposes.
Which one are you picking? 👊
