Avengers: Endgame Encore🎬

Avengers: Endgame Encore is a special theatrical rerelease of the 2019 MCU blockbuster, returning to cinemas ahead of Avengers: Doomsday. It is scheduled for September 25, 2026.

What's different? New footage: Unlike a normal re-release, Encore includes additional material.

Longer runtime: The new version is listed at 185 minutes (3 hours 5 minutes)-about 4 minutes longer than the original theatrical cut.

Doomsday connection: The added material is intended to create a connection between Endgame and Avengers: Doomsday.

New ending/post-credit material: Reports have suggested additional end material, although Marvel has not publicly revealed all the details of what's included. Why is Marvel bringing it back?

The timing is important. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for December 18, 2026, so Marvel is using Endgame Encore to bring audiences back to the Infinity Saga's conclusion and potentially establish context for the next Avengers story.

What happens in Endgame?

The movie follows the surviving Avengers after Thanos' Snap. They attempt to undo the devastation, leading to the massive final battle. The story ultimately concludes major arcs for Tony Stark/ Iron Man, Steve Rogers/ Captain America, Natasha Romanoff/ Black Widow, and several other original Avengers.

In short: Endgame Encore isn't a new Avengers movie-it's **Endgame returning to theatres with extra material designed to lead audiences toward Doomsday.**
