We are kicking off this semester with a masterclass on Film Development by Creative Producer Effie Skrobolas.

📒 The journey from a raw idea to a fully developed film project is one of the most creative, complex, and rewarding processes in the audiovisual industry — yet it remains one of the least formally taught in academic settings. This masterclass offers undergraduate students a concrete, practical window into the film development pipeline through the direct lens of an active industry producer.
Rather than focusing on a single discipline, the session maps the entire arc of development: from concept genesis, story and script iterations, to producer relationships, financing conversations, talent attachments, and the moment a project moves into production.

✅ Key Learning Objectives
-Understand the complete film development pipeline from initial concept to production greenlight.
-Identify key decision-makers, stakeholders, and market considerations at each development stage.
Recognize the role of story development, script coverage, and creative iteration cycles.
-Gain insight into real-world producer, director, and writer collaboration and negotiation dynamics.
-Understand the fundamentals of international co-productions, soft money, and financing structures.

💡The masterclass is structured into four thematic blocks (The Idea, Story/Script, Financing, Greenlight), including live case study analysis and interactive Q&A.
