Beautiful finish on those jaws. I'll maybe have to do something similar at some point soon with mine. Regarding the ring, is there a risk when using a disc with three holes in it (like here) if the angular positions of the holes in the disc don't match up exactly with the pins that it'll put a sideways force on the jaw? As opposed to using say a bearing ring where they can find the best position. Hope that makes sense, maybe I'm over-thinking things.

Did the very same thing earlier this year and its amazing. Definitely better than any other way of boring chuck jaws i tried before.

Love your videos and the way you explain things. Although i use a different method of individually preloading the jaws . Also important factors does not get mentioned that play big part of achieving the maximum accuracy and repeatability. Would love to se comparison between different methods from authority like you with measurement to prove .❤️
