✨We are coming out Bangin’ this week with Seattle’s very own Icon, rock baddie- Bhama Roget!
Yes, you read that right! ✨
Bhama Roget is a Seattle-based performance artist, satirist, and composer whose work lives at the intersection of rock theatre, absurdist mythology, clown, and comedic ritual.
Her show Mother Nature: The Farewell Tour is a solo rock opera in which a fed-up, darkly funny Mother Nature returns to address her most troublesome creation one last time. Part resignation speech, part apocalypse primer, part love letter to a species on the brink — the show rips open a conversation about the fractured soul of the world and the collective grief that needs to be acknowledged and healed in order for us to move forward.
Previously produced as a full-band theatrical production at Intiman Theatre, this festival version features new arrangements in collaboration with composer/arranger Brendan Milburn (Ernest Shackleton Loves Me) and sound/AV artist Evan Mosher (Awesome the Band).
She has acted and performed comedy on stages across the country, including Seattle Repertory Theatre, ACT Theatre, South Coast Repertory, San Francisco Sketchfest, and Second City Hollywood. She is also a member of lauded Seattle superband ‘BeatleConcert’, a live tribute to the Beatles studio era.
Bhama is the Long Form Artist on Saturday night! The long form artists are preparing a solo show. They are paired with songwriter (Teddy Lim
@theodore_lim_ ) that has created a song in response to the long form show as well as a song in response to the festival. Then, the short form artist(Tanya Gagné
@tbirdgagne) prepares a 15-20 piece using their medium to tell their story. These 3 Artists combined create a cohesive constellation that will surely leave us moved and asking for more! Join us and experience these incredible artist!
