These NASA satellite images reveal the extent of carbon monoxide pollution over Southeast Asia from Indonesia’s forest fires between Aug 1 and Oct 21. The colours indicate the concentration of carbon monoxide in the atmosphere, with warmer colours representing higher levels. Red indicates concentrations of around 160 parts per billion by volume (ppbv), a measure of how much carbon monoxide is present in the air. #haze #indonesia #southeastasia
🥵 Irina Rodnina: Valieva Lacks the Endurance to Complete Her Programs Three-time Olympic champion Irina Rodnina has weighed in on Kamila Valieva’s comeback, saying the skater faces a more complicated challenge than Alexandra Ignatova, who has also returned to competition. “Kamila Valieva’s situation is more complicated than Alexandra Ignatova’s. Kamila has grown considerably and, naturally, gained weight. I’m not saying she is overweight, but her body mass has increased as a result of her growth,” Rodnina said, as reported by RIA Novosti Sport. Although Rodnina believes Valieva has largely retained her technical ability, she questioned the skater’s current endurance. “She has hardly lost any of her technique, but she has absolutely no endurance. She lacks the strength to get through her program.” Rodnina added that physical difficulties could also affect Valieva psychologically, suggesting that the skater may need a different approach to her training. “If this athlete matters to us, we probably need to develop an entirely different training plan for her,” she concluded. Valieva recently returned to Eteri Tutberidze after previously training under Svetlana Sokolovskaya. #KamilaValieva #IrinaRodnina #FigureSkating #КамилаВалиева #ИринаРоднина

+22,289% since 2008, with no stop-loss. This strategy looks almost too good to be true… The idea: buy the S&P 500’s strongest stocks when they stumble, and sell on the first bounce. 1. Only S&P 500 stocks above their 200-day average. 2. Only the top 20% by 6-1 month momentum. 3. Buy when RSI(2) drops under 15 and the stock closes near the day’s low. 4. Sell on the first close above the prior day’s high, or after 20 trading days. 5. Up to 10 positions, at most 2 new ones a day. The twist: plain dip-buying with no momentum filter made +316% and lost to SPY’s +644%. Only buying the leaders is what made it work. The catch: it runs at up to 2x leverage, has no price stop, and its max drawdown was −38%. It’s also sensitive to trading costs. A realistic expectation is closer to 27% a year than the headline. It’s now paper trading on AlphaInsider, so every trade is public. Comment “STRATEGY” and we’ll send you the link to follow it free. Hypothetical backtest, Jan 2008 to Oct 19, 2026, trading costs included. Past results don’t guarantee future returns. Not financial advice. #tradingstrategy #algotrading #stocktrading
