Naturally, the first thing you do when you buy a balalaika is to put a capo on the first fret and figure out how to play 'Rasputin' by @boneym.official (even though it wasn't recorded on a balalaika). These things have incredibly tiny neck profiles and my @paigemusical banjo/mando capo juuuust fit! Anyway, you should go out and learn as many different instruments as you can, you'll never know how much fun you can have or when you'll be able to use 'em in a session/gig.
