There has been a lot written and said about leading without a title. But what happens when you do have a title—and with it the authority, responsibility, and accountability that come with your position?

In his new book, 'Leading Though You Have a Title: Embracing Positional Authority with Purpose,' Dr. Reggies Wenyika explores how leaders can embrace the authority of their position without becoming dependent on it. A title can give you authority, but it cannot give you trust, credibility, influence, or integrity. Those must be developed through how you lead and how you treat the people entrusted to your care.

Reggies examines the history and purpose of leadership titles, the dangers of title-driven leadership, leadership as a burden rather than a reward, developing influence beyond your position, and the habits required to exercise authority with integrity. The book also includes the CSEA Self-Assessment Profile to help readers examine their own leadership tendencies and identify areas for continued growth.

If you have been entrusted with a leadership title—or hope to be someday—this book will challenge you to consider not simply what authority you have, but what you are doing with the authority you have been given.

So proud to see this important work released into the world. Leading Though You Have a Title speaks to a leadership conversation that is deeply needed: not simply how to attain positions of authority, but how to steward them with purpose, integrity and responsibility. Congratulations @docreggies 🔥🥳💕
