1,500 miles. Five crossings of Highway 101. Even a swim across the Russian River. All in search of somewhere to belong.
Puma 36 was a young mountain lion navigating Northern California in search of a territory of his own.
His journey took him through forests, farmland, highways, and neighborhoods, revealing just how difficult it can be for wildlife to move through a world increasingly shaped by us.
THE PATH OF PUMA-36 follows one extraordinary animal, and the people trying to find a better way to share the landscape with predators.
Because we’re not the only ones who live here.
