The worker-owned firm can demonstrate that “high road” labor practices are possible. The high-road firm will however exist in constant tension, internally and externally, as it attempts to compete in a market dominated by low-road firms.

Not my usual content I know but it’s coming up to my dad’s birthday and I was inspired by @cicely.rae to share this! Grief is so weird, and I’ve ignored the cliches like white feathers because I’ve not found them helpful at all (I know lots of people do!), my dad was a fascinating complicated guy who I owe so much of who I am to. I love him so much and I’m so sad I can’t talk about politics in his conservatory and laugh about The Smiths’ lyrics until 2am again. If you’ve lost someone remember they’re not lost if you keep talking about them ❤️
