Weddings are a beautiful blur of nerves and happiness. Somewhere a groom is struggling with his tie, a bridesmade is hunting for safety pins, and a grandmother is already crying before anything has even started. Every detail has been planned for months, and something small will still go wrong.

Then the music starts and none of that matters anymore. The doors open, everyone stands, and two people see each other in a way that makes the whole room go quiet. Vows are spoken with shaky voices, rings slide onto trembeling fingers, and the cheering afterward shakes the bewildered walls.

The reception is where the real party begins. Uncles show off questionable dance moves, kids slide across the dance floor in socks, and the towering cake disappears in minutes. Long after the last song, what everyone truly remembers is not the decorations but the love that filled that room all night.

Comment CONGEE and I’ll send you this womb warming recipe 🤍

Congee is a slow-cooked rice porridge used in Chinese medicine for centuries to nourish the body, support digestion and build Qi (pronounced “chee”) it supports energy circulation warmth and vitality in the body.

If you were my friend and I was cooking a super supportive meal to support your fertility journey and help you get pregnant congee is 100% a super nourishing meal I’d be making for you on REPEAT! I always add this into my fertility clients meal plans too.

Tbh even if you’re not trying to conceive, if you’re stressed, burnt out or your digestion needs some love this is a meal your body barely has to work to receive. Enjoy xx

Some moments don't need words.
They simply need to be felt. 🎹

ARC Review

Title: Beautiful Monster
Author: Sara Cate
Genre: Forbidden Romance
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

How do I even start talking about this book? 😭❤️ Sara Cate and age gap romance will ALWAYS be a winning combination for me, but I think Beautiful Monster might actually be my favourite book of hers yet.

Sunny Thorn is nineteen and trying to figure out her life while dealing with a home where she feels unwanted. Then Alexander Caldwell, a wealthy forty-year-old with a playboy past, moves in next door. What starts with a simple arrangement involving Sunny’s art soon turns into a forbidden attraction neither of them can easily ignore. 👀

THE ANGST. THE DENIAL. THE TENSION. Sara, WHAT IS THIS?! 😭😂

I loved Sunny’s little rain cloud personality. She’s lonely and insecure, still figuring out who she is, and watching her slowly grow into herself was so lovely. She has moments of maturity, but she’s also nineteen and allowed to be scared and uncertain. I really enjoyed seeing her find her confidence.

And Alexander? PLEASE. 😩 He’s far from perfect and has made plenty of mistakes, but I love a man who’s genuinely trying to do better. Watching him struggle with his feelings for Sunny while trying to make better choices had me rooting for him. And the way he sees her potential even when she can’t see it herself? I’M SICK. 😭❤️

But Sara’s WRITING! This woman knows how to pull you into a story. Everything felt so natural and vivid that I could practically see it all happening in front of me. Add the delicious spice and emotional angst, and you have me ignoring the world until the last page.😂❤️

I honestly have nothing to deduct from these five stars. Sara Cate, you have done it AGAIN! ❤️

Thank you to Hambright PR and @saracatebooks for the gifted eARC! 🥹

QOTD: Is age really a number when it comes to love or is there an age gap that’s simply too much?
