This evening, I had the pleasure of listening to my good sis @melvasampson read from her new book, “Pink Robe Chronicles,” and to witness her being celebrated by her colleagues.

And while we celebrate this brilliant work, I want to thank you for pushing through.

Watching you this evening reminded me of Dr. Angelou’s last public appearance at WFU. She used to say “you’ve already been paid for.” The more I live the more I understand that to mean “you’ve always been enough.”

I believe she’d be proud and that there’d be a copy of PRC in her library.
