Another year older, and apparently I feel exactly the same amount of chaotic as last year, just with better boundaries and wisdom about it.
Thank you to everyone who commented, texted, sent a birthday meme, called, hugged, or liked a 10 year old photo out of sheer birthday obligation, I saw it all, I felt it all, laughed at most of it, and I felt very loved. It’s that specific way where you realize how many good people ended up in your life, and for that alone, I am a rich individual.
That’s really what a birthday is, right? Underneath all the cake and chaos, there’s a little checkpoint, and mine says: good people, good support, a life that’s actually mine and actually good. I can’t wait for what else is coming my way. Love you all, truly, thank you for all the birthday love!
